This is a 3 day solo backpacking trip out of Maxon Trailhead in John Muir Wilderness. The first part of the trip to Hobber Lake and day 3 were on trail leaving the middle 26 miles all off trail. The 20 solo off trail miles provided solitude, amazing scenery and difficult challenges that made this adventure one that I will cherish for a long time.
